The Faculty of Arts and Design (FAD) at Maranatha Christian University have their own way of ending the year. Maranatha Creative Industry Showcase Day (MCISD) has been a recurring event at the FAD, and just like last year, the event is full of fun and inspiration!
On Wednesday (6/12) morning, lecturers and university staff gathered at the 1st Floor Exhibition Hall of Gedung B to take part in MCISD 2023’s opening ceremony.
“[MCISD is here] to showcase the artworks and collaborations – not only academic ones but also those we do with industries and our partners,” said Seriwati Ginting, the Head of the Committee of MCISD 2023. “Hopefully, the series of events will be extraordinarily beneficial.”
This year’s MCISD theme is “Let’s Collaborate, Stronger Together!” I wonder why?
“The work we produce – when collaborated – will bring about innovation and breakthroughs that nobody has ever thought of before,” Seriwati stated. Indeed, many of the programs on display at MCISD – the Village Building MBKM projects, for example – were successful thanks to the collaboration between numerous parties.
The Rector, Prof. Sri Widiyantoro, gave us his regards.
“It’s great to be able to create and collaborate… Please keep going. [I see] that we have a lot of remarkable talents here. Keep on developing them!”MCISD 2023 will go on for three days, from Wednesday (6/12) to Friday (8/12). Let’s come and collaborate! 😁 (sj)
