In association with Maranatha Christian University's Diploma Program in Visual Arts and Design, Femina Group organized an announcement of Mode Design Competition (LPM) 2017 and workshop classes hosted by renowned fashion designers and LPM alumni. Anggia Hapsari, the Managing Editor of Fashion and Beauty at Femina Magazine, stated that the biannual competition was an event to seek out new potential designers. Femina held a campus tour with hopes of inviting Maranatha students to compete and dig into their potential. Students' enthusiasm was felt through how packed was the B06D02 classroom at B Building's sixth floor. The campus tour lasted for two days, 29--30 August 2017, with a booth opened the day before. Students had the chance to meet senior designers who shared their experience of sharpening their skills and increasing their self esteem. Femina Group also encouraged students to take part with the theme of "Urban Identity" in mind. The theme was chosen to search for young designers' creative ideas which drew inspiration from local cultures to be produced into a modern, ready-to-wear collections. The designers who would make it to the finals would be given an opportunity to show their work at Indonesia's largest fashion event, Jakarta Fashion Week, free of charge.
