Gamelan music livened up the morning fresh air at B-Building’s Exhibition Hall. Friday, 2 June 2023 was a special day for the Faculty of Arts and Design at Maranatha Christian University because they can finally open another international exhibition after 4 years!

The name of the exhibition, Unoflatu, means ‘one breath’. According to Irena, the faculty’s dean, Unoflatu was initially meant to showcase the artworks made by the lecturers at Maranatha’s FAD. Now, it also invites artists from partner universities as well. All the artists did their work in a unified post-pandemic breath, in line with the title for this year’s Unoflatu: Respirare Iterum (‘To Breathe Again’).

Unoflatu: Respirare Iterum displayed more than a hundred works of art from 17 institutions in 7 countries. Other than lecturers and students from Maranatha, the first day of the exhibition was also attended by many special guests from Silpakorn University, Thailand. Dr. Thanatorn Chiarakul, the Dean of the Faculty of Decorative Arts, personally took part in the opening ceremony.
