AQAS Internationally Accredited Maranatha Interior Design

Maranatha Christian University’s Bachelor of Interior Design program officially holds AQAS international accreditation. The accreditation certificate was issued on April 5, 2023, with a validity period of accreditation until April 30, 2029.

AQAS (Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programs) in the accreditation certificate states that the UK Maranatha Interior Design Undergraduate Program has met the AQAS accreditation criteria, based on the “Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education” (ESG).

The achievement of AQAS international accreditation for the UK Maranatha Interior Design Undergraduate Program is the result of a series of preparatory processes since the past year. The assessment process was carried out on November 14-16, 2022.

International Standard Quality

Head of UK Maranatha’s Quality Assurance Unit, Joni, S.E., M.Si., Ak., Ph.D. stated that international accreditation will bring UK Maranatha to grow, not only equalizing quality with national standards, but also with international standards.

In addition to the Interior Design Undergraduate Program, UK Maranatha has prepared four other study programs for the international accreditation process. The study programs are Bachelor of Medicine, Professional Doctor, Bachelor of Accounting, and Bachelor of Management. All four have completed the evaluation and assessment process by the relevant international accreditation agencies.

UK Maranatha Rector, Prof. Ir. Sri Widiyantoro, M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU encourages the international accreditation process for study programs at UK Maranatha. “We encourage international accreditation, and it is one of UK Maranatha’s priorities,” he said. (is/gn)
