Learning the Universe and Its Secrets at the ‘Multidimensional’ Book Review Activity

Friday, September 27, 2024, the Mutidimensional book review activity by Mr. Gai Suhardja, Ph.D., who is the first Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, was officially held. During the event, the Chancellor of Maranatha Christian University, Prof. Ir. Sri Widiyantoro, M.Sc. Ph.D., IPU. gave a welcoming speech and appreciation for the book launch. Speakers presented at the book review session were Mrs. Isabella Isthipraya Andreas, S.Ds., M.Ds., who is a lecturer in interior design at Maranatha University and Rev. Drs. Fabianus Sebastian Heatubun, SLL. and Mr. Arnold Maximillian, M.Ds., HDII., who is also a lecturer in interior design at Maranatha University. Throughout the event, Ms. Sophia Himatul Alya, an alumnus of Seni Rupa Murnii, Maranatha University, became the master of ceremonies.

Mrs. Isabella, as the first speaker, explained the author’s background, who has explored many things outside of his usual routine, both as a teacher and as an interior designer. Pak Gai’s love for various fields led him to create multidimensional works where readers can learn something using various points of view. In her explanation, Mrs. Isabella explained that Pak Gai is a figure who deeply understands the journey of life where death is not the end of everything, making humans braver in facing life.

Romo Fabi as the second speaker gave a brief explanation of the two book sections which provided an understanding that Pak Gai as a book writer has a memorable Out of Body Experience, and this was felt in his previous work. Pak Gai’s multidimensional understanding in this work explains that if humans do not understand the supernatural realm due to limited senses, then humans must abandon the function of these senses. The OBE experience experienced by Pak Gai can be felt by 80% of humans where the body can see spirits and those who experience it give various reactions, some of which are afraid and some experience pleasure. This experience needs to be experienced because it can provide a statement that in this universe, it is not only physics, chemistry, and mathematics that need to be known, but there are supernatural things that are also natural to learn.

Pak Gai’s Dimensional book discusses the mystery of human life that has always lived following the development of science, it’s just that humans have limitations in terms of age and time so that sometimes they choose to focus on one thing and let other things go. The sophistication of technology in the current era helps humans to be able to do various things easily, in addition, with the presence of the internet humans can store things that are valuable to them. Humans can find evidence of what happened in the past by opening digital documents, even humans can easily do tasks with the help of AI (artificial intelligence).

Multidimensional as a word already contains a meaning of complexity that is not simple. Therefore, the term 12th dimension is certainly not easy to accept because it is not at all simple. This book wants to convey that the secret of human life has not been fully revealed, especially human death. – Gai Suhardja

Therefore, with this book, the author wants to provide knowledge and awareness that no matter how the world turns, no matter how the era develops, as long as life is in humans, humans must continue to interpret that life as something noble. Don’t hesitate to try various things, don’t be afraid to believe something that is beyond reason, but be brave! dare to pursue what you dream of, dare to get out of your comfort zone and also dare to do new things, you will definitely appreciate what you do more.
